项目背景
人民出版社始建于1921年9月1日，重建于1950年12月1日，是党和国家政治读物出版社，也是我国第一家著名的哲学社会科学综合性出版社。毛泽东同志亲笔题写的“人民出版社”社名，成为国家和各省级人民出版社最为显著的形象标志。
人民出版社自建社以来，始终肩负着崇高的历史使命，即：出版马克思主义经典著作；党和国家重要文献；党的路线、方针、政策的普及性读物；党史和党建论著；政治、哲学、经济、历史、法律、文化、国际问题等方面的一流学术著作，以及重要人物传记和哲学社会科学工具书及教材等。半个多世纪里，人民出版社先后出版图书20000多种，发行图书期刊30多亿册。成为名扬海内外的国家出版社，为共和国的出版事业做出了卓越贡献。
